DESCRIPTION:The theme this year is “Down Home Country Christmas”.   Come and see all the different decorated trees inside. You can also vote for your favorite tree\, voting is just $1.00 per vote.  All proceeds of the winning trees will be donated to their selected charities. \nThe Welcome Center will be closed Thanksgiving\, Christmas Eve\, and Christmas Day.   \nThe Welcome Center will be closing at 12 noon on New Year’s Eve and will be closed on New Year’s Day.    \nSpecial Hours: Open until 9:00pm on Friday\, December 2\, 2016\, Friday\, December 9\, 2016\, Saturday\, December 10\, 2016\, Sunday\, December 11\, 2016 and Friday\, December 16\, 2016.

SUMMARY:5th Annual Holiday Art Studio & Gallery Tour
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, December 4\, 1:00-5:00 pm\, art studios and galleries throughout the Town of Bedford will be open featuring their best artisan crafted goods and holiday treats.   \nVisitors can enjoy artisan demonstrations and find one-of-a-kind gifts. \nArt and Soul (205 North Bridge Street)\, Bedford’s most recent creative business will be celebrating their opening with new work by a variety of local artisans.  Back Room Pottery (206 North Bridge Street)\, the studio and gallery for three local potters\, will be offering wheel-thrown and hand-built creations.  Bower Center for the Arts (305 North Bridge Street) will host artist demonstrations by Nancy O’Neal and Lori Stetson\, studio tours\, a special holiday exhibit\, and a 15% off sale in the Cornerstone Gallery. The Electric Company (207 East Depot Street) includes a wide selection from Sherry Chairs and More\, The Electric Company Artist’s Co-op\, The Artisan Shoppe\, and Artists on Depot Studios.  Folk artist Carol Burnett’s work will be on display and guest artisan Mary Lutrell will present her hand-built\, pit-fired pottery at Goose Creek Studio Gallery and Custom Framing (302 Court Street).  happycoffee (104 North Bridge Street) will feature work by a local artist along with their coffee drinks and sweets.  Whimsical critters and characters created from recycled items can be found at Michael’s Menagerie at Dirt Road Treasures (115 North Bridge Street) At Town Kitchen & Provisions (309 North Bridge Street)\, blacksmith William Mauser will be demonstrating and\, in addition to their regular menu\, the kitchen will be serving fresh\, roasted Virginia oysters.  The Well (1764 Patriot Lane) will offer unique pottery creations by Studio 43’s Sonya Forte’. \n \nThe 5th Annual Holiday Art Studio & Gallery Tour is free and open to the public.  See www.createbedford.weebly.com for a map of the tour sites and more detailed information about the event. \n  \n
