The theme this year is “A Storybook Christmas”\, which coincides with the Bedford Area Welcome Center’s Festival of Trees theme.  Following the parade\, local restaurants and shops will be open in downtown Bedford. The Bedford Museum will also host the annual train exhibit on the top floor.  For a map of the parade route\, click here.  \nAlso be sure to visit the Festival of Trees which will be open 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. that day!

The parade will start at Bedford Avenue (near the Health Department). This parade is sponsored by Boys with a Dream\, a local organization that wanted to do something special for the men and women who have worked so hard during the pandemic and they thought this would be the best way to honor our first responders!

DESCRIPTION:This parade is for all Bedford County high school graduates which includes: LHS\, SR\, JF\, private and homeschooled! \n\n\n \n-Parade will begin in the parking lot of Blue Ridge Community Church (Westgate Shopping Center/where Peeble’s was located). You can begin arriving at 5:15. You will see volunteers helping you line up.\n-You will arrive in your own vehicle – have family drive you – decorate the vehicle – add posters on the side with your name and school if you wish!\n-wear your cap and gown\n-you will ride throughout the whole parade – not a walking parade.\n-At the end of the parade (at the Courthouse)\, you will have your picture taken.\n\nClick here for more information.

DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the first day of spring in Centertown Bedford! From 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.\, shop with over 20 vendors at the Bedford Farmer’s Market located at the pavilion on Washington St. (this is an outdoor market). From 10-11 a.m.\, there will be an Easter egg hunt with local downtown businesses.  Follow the event page for a list (and map) of participating businesses to be posted closer to the event date.
