DESCRIPTION:Staged out of beautiful Smith Mountain Lake State Park this triathlon classic has clear water\, mountain views and fun courses. The swim features a sandy beach start and a crisp\, clear lake. The bike and run courses are rolling\, but not too challenging. This is a great race if you are just starting out in the sport\, or have been racing for 20 years. Smith Mountain Lake is home to numerous lodging options and attractions. There is great trail running in the park and the Blue Ridge Parkway isn’t too far away if you want to stay the night and ride again on Sunday. SUMMARY:Ray Judd's Music in the Park
DESCRIPTION:Come to the Beach Pavilion at Smith Mountain Lake State Park for this wonderful concert!  \nHelp close out the summer by bringing the whole family for an evening of great bluegrass music with the “Handmade Music by Floyd Country Store\,” and  the “Old Dominion Cloggers\,” a dance group from Martinsville will also entertain. \n\nEntry fee $7 per person\, and children 12 and under get in free. Parking fee is included in ticket price. Hot dogs\, sausages\, ice cream\, drinks and other refreshments will be for sale. Don’t forget lawn chairs.\nSponsored by Friends of Smith Mountain Lake State Park. \n\n

There will be over 1\,500 eggs to find. If you find one of the “golden” eggs\, bring it to the interpreter to receive a special prize. Enjoy hands-on crafts\, hay wagon rides\, and more! Free event.
